Quick & Easy Potted Plant

My mom bought me this plant that she SWEARS I can't kill.
We shall see.

But it was in one of those standard black plastic pots.
With holes at the bottom.
So it basically lived in my sink for about a month because whenever I watered it, it needed to be able to drain.
It really needed a "pretty" house.

Recently I was at the store and saw one of those clay colored plastic planters that had the water catcher thing at the bottom {don't laugh at my lack of gardening vocabulary!}
It was only a couple of dollars so I bought it.

I grabbed some aqua spray paint I had and gave it good coat.

Then, since I've decided red will be my accent in my kitchen/living room, I knew of some red fabric scraps I could use.
The fabric was a little frayed, which I actually really liked!
So I wrapped it around and tied a bow.
I stared at it for a while and decided I didn't like the "tails" of the bow.
So I simply tucked them in behind the fabric.

Then I popped the plant inside.
I tried without the black planter, but the new planter was a little too big.
So I just stuck the whole thing inside.
And that was it!

I love the way it turned out!
The red really POPS on the aqua!
And the plant looks much better.
It was SO simple to make, seriously MINUTES of actual effort!
