Under the Sink Organization

I'm so excited about how organized and fresh under my sink is!
Because let's face it, it's usually one of the more neglected places in the house.

Ok, now brace yourself.
I'm going to show you the "before"s.

Here's how my under the sink previously was.
In all it's filthy glory.
{and please excuse my terrible floors- haven't gotten around to getting them done yet}

I had taken everything out when my dad and I installed the new sink.
And it's been sitting in a box on the floor for a couple of months now.

First things first...
I cleaned it out as much as I could.
Then I gave it a fresh coat of paint.
See what a difference it's already making?

So much better already!
The knobs and hinges were gold to begin with.
So I gave them a coat of satin nickel spray paint.

As for the actual organization part, I was inspired by THIS post over at Tatertots & Jello.

Here's what her under the sink looked like:

Ok now this is the crazy part!
I had come across Sprik Space's pattern backgrounds earlier this week.
FYI- She has a TON of freebies that are SUPER adorable!

Anyways, I knew I wanted to use them for my labels.
But I had NO idea that TT&J had used them too!
When I went back to look at her post I realized she had referenced them!
I had remembered the brackets but not the background.
Maybe my sub conscience remember it.
Who knows.

Anyways, I used one of the blues, making them in Photoshop.

On the door, I attached hooks for cleaning gloves and a rag.
I also attached a bathroom cup from the dollar store for the scrub brushes.

I got these sturdy plastic containers from the dollar store for $3.25 each.
I separated the floor cleaning supplies, counter cleaning supplies, and the dish cleaning stuff.

I've got a spot for my trashbags...

And then I found this tip over at Cook Clean Craft...
Put your plastic bags in a tissue box!
It keeps them organized and out of the way.
All I have to do is pull a bag out of the box!

And I'll admit it...
I got a little label making happy.
And made one for my sharps container.

And my fire extinguisher.

I better be glad I contained myself when I did.
I was about to start making them for the pipes and stuff.

Anyways... I'm so excited to actual start getting things organized!
One thing down...
Like 5 BILLION more to go :)

Looks fantastic. You're so organized now and definitely much better after a little paint too. I spent the weekend organizing my boys' closets. Such a great feeling to be organized and in control again, right?

Courtney- This is awesome! You need to link this up to some parties!
Hey, how did you get your fb page up on your blog? And, do you have a personal blog that is separate from your blog fan page. I have a hard time "toggling" between my administrator page (which is my personal blog) and my I'm Not a Trophy Wife fb page. Does this make sense? laura
