Adding a Favicon to Your Blog

So as most of you know, I was MIA for a little while.

But when I came back to the blogger world, I noticed a new feature on the blogger design page.

It was to edit your Favicon on your blog.

So just what exactly is a "favicon"?
A favicon is basically a shortcut icon or website icon.

At default, your blog will have the standard orange blogger "b".
But now you can easily update it to add your own personalized image.

Check out my before and after:

Notice the new favicon, the blue square with "nsh".

So how do you add your own favicon to your blog?

First, from your Dashboard under Manage Blogs, click "Design" under the blog you want to add a favicon to.
It will then bring you to the Page Elements section of the Design tab.
At the very top, you should see a tab that says "Favicon" and "Edit".
Click Edit.

Now this screen will pop up:

You'll need to upload a square image you want to use.
I went into photoshop and made a small square image.
Also make sure when you save it that it's less than 100 kb

Now remember, this is only going to be a tiny square on the screen.
So make sure it's not too busy.
Otherwise people won't know what it says.
It should be a simple way for people to know it's your blog!

A little note...
It took a little while for my favicon to actually show up on my blog.
So if it's not there right away, just give it a little time!

I hope this helps!
If you have any questions please let me know :)
