"Look Into My Eyes"

Just a little quick work update... I finally started up on my home unit, NICU, this week! I am so excited about working with these little ones! There's a few 23 and 24 week babies that are true fighters. They are so little, some under a pound, but are striving to make it in this world when they came just a little too early. So keep those babies in your prayers :) I've mostly been working with what they call "grower feeders". These are basically babies who may have had problems at birth but are basically there to learn to eat right and gain a little weight before going home. I could sit there rocking and feeding those babies for hours!

Anyways, I had my first 12 hour shift Wednesday and it went really well. Tonight is my first night shift... 6:30 pm to 7 am. Eeek! I'm not a night person so we'll see how this goes. And, oh yea, my FIRST paycheck? Yes please! Direct deposit. In my bank account. Today. So excited to get paid more than minimum wage!

Ok, so you know when they ask you, "What's the first thing you notice about someone?" I would have to say eyes. There's more than just the standard blue or green or brown eyes. Each hue is a different range of colors.

And I think my boyfriend, has the most gorgeous eyes of all. Maybe I'm biased. But I seriously love his eyes! He'll probably kill me for posting this (he hates pictures) but it's just of his eye so yea...

Ok so do you agree with me now? It's like he has this intricate mosaic of blues and orange and gray and everything. I'm his girlfriend so I have a right to brag... I just love his eyes :)

Growing up I've had a lot of people stop and tell me I have pretty eyes. Even as a baby, my mom said people would complement on my eyes. It's kind of awkward when a complete stranger is getting all up in your face like "your eyes are really pretty!". Yea, personal space? Mine. Yea. Not so close. Anyways, I still think el boyfriend has the most gorgeous eyes ever! But here's what mine look like:

I like to call the center my "ring of fire"... make me too mad and I'll shoot fire out my eyes like that dude on X-Men. Just kidding :)

Since I'm fascinated by eyes, I recently took some pics on a trip I went on with some girls from church. These were took with my iPhone so the quality is pretty bad but here's a few more eye photography :)

She has a birthmark in her eye... pretty cool if you ask me!

Here is a mother's eye...

Followed by her daughter's eye...

So what color eyes do YOU have? Is there anyone you think has GORGEOUS eyes?

A quick note...

Dana, over at Saturday Mornings, is collecting donations and giving the proceeds from any purchased ad spots to a group of underprivileged children. This is a great opportunity to help out some kids! For more information about Project Kids, click HERE.

My eyes are brown, my husband's eyes are blue, and my youngest came out with gray-hazel eyes, her eyes are so so pretty, and I have to mention also that she has the longest eye lashes, that's the first thing the doctor said when my baby was born "look at those eye lashes, omgosh! and look at all that hair" hahahahahahaha..I also think the eyes are the best feature, one can tell so much just by looking at a person's eyes....Good luck with your night shift!!!!

My eyes are hazel, they change color depending on what I wear! From the time I was a baby people, especially old Hispanic ladies, would walk up to me, compliment my eyes and cover them with their hands! It was to protect me from the "mal ojo". I do not like people getting into my personal space but I'm too nice to say anything, lol.

I'm glad you liked the NICU. I used to work PICU and then L&D, so I would float to NICU sometimes. then I had my twins at 30 weeks, and got to experience NICU from the other side.

I love the eye photos, wow!

I found your blog through Lucy's Hop and now I follow. I hope you had a great weekend.
